anita : hi, everybody. Thanks for the compliments on the piece. This is indeed an "in progress" work. It is a gift for my mom. Lord Leighton's "Odalisque". I am doing the work on canvas so I can easily transport it, but it will eventually be framed. The size is @ 3' x 4 1/2'. Everybody's work is so awesome, but I have to say that Kathy's is the most unexpected for me. I have only seen you do finishes, so this portrait knocked my socks off. I love the style.

Elena : Kathy, you did an outstanding piece!!! You Van Gogh woman!

Kathy : What was the answer about Elena's piece?

pat : Hey Carol, I thought it came out great

Shannon : But Kathy, it shows your roots! Vinny would be so proud!

Kevin : Robin, It is a raised stencil, but just barley there. I took lights and lit everything from the center of the room and painted all the shadows to be lighting correct. No 2 shadows are the same all around the room, it almost looed carved out of the wall. Sorry I couldn't get a better pic of it for this.

carol pascale : had to watch the bloopers again! it's yellow medous breccia! 6.5 hours and i need to spend about another 100, thanks

Elena : Marsha, Pat doesn't want us to get too silly...I made a silly face before and it didn't show either...he's so serious, right? wink wink

Kathy : OMG, It's so hard to keep up, everyone's work is so GREAT!!!!! I took a photograph of this woman, projected it onto canvas and then painted it. Yes, far out for me huh?

Kevin : Thanks Robin. I spent 2 days painting in all of the drop shadows. That was the most relaxing part for me.

Shannon : It's the restoration of the Hunting Linbrary/Museum in Pasadena. They had to repair most of teh crown and dentil mouldings all around the top of the building and I fauxed them to look 100 years old and match the rest of the exterior.
